Renamed our plan tiers. Again. This week
Every plan across the site has been renamed to something more standard: Starter, Plus, Business, Pro, and so on. We know we renamed our server tiers to a UK housing theme a few months back and made a whole announcement about it. We're aware of the inconsistency. We've decided not to address it further.

A note on our new cookie bannerThis week
We've rolled out a new cookie consent banner across the site. It's larger, harder to dismiss, and asks you to wait several seconds before agreeing to something that doesn't actually track you. We know it's obnoxious. That part is intentional. The bit where it reappears if you accidentally clear your browser data is less intentional, and we're choosing not to look into it.

An uptime updateLast week
Following an internal review, we can confirm we reached an uptime percentage this month. We won't be publishing the exact figure, partly for competitive reasons and partly because we didn't love it either. Customers on affected plans have not been contacted, on the basis that they would have noticed already.

Datacentre migration completeLast month
We've completed a migration to a new datacentre facility. The move went smoothly, or at least nobody has emailed to say otherwise, and around here that counts as a clean rollout. A small number of customers may have experienced a brief interruption during the cutover window. We did not, because we were asleep.

A refresh to our Terms of Service2 months ago
We've updated our Terms of Service. Nothing meaningful has changed, we simply felt the document needed a fresher date at the top. If you'd like to read the new version in full, it is identical to the old one in every way that matters, including the parts you were hoping we'd softened.

IPv6 support is here3 months ago
IPv6 is now supported across our network, in the sense that we have not taken any active steps to block it. We can't confirm it works reliably end to end, but nobody has complained yet, which is roughly the bar we set for most things at this point.

Renaming our server tiers4 months ago
Our VPS and dedicated server tiers have been renamed to follow a UK housing theme, from Flatshare Server up to Whole Machine, Whatever. We think it's funnier this way, and it took considerably less effort than actually improving the servers. If your invoice still shows the old names, give it time; we'll get to it.

Welcoming a new team member6 months ago
We're pleased to welcome a new member of staff to the team. They'll be starting soon, in the sense that a start date exists somewhere in a document. See our Careers page for the current state of our other open roles, of which there remain precisely zero.
That's everything we've got round to writing down. Check back whenever; we might too.
